Dave Taylor's original oil paintings feature the best of the Pacific North West coast, from the old growth cedar and Douglas fir forests of Cathedral Grove and Qualicum Heritage Forest to the coastal rivers, lakes and mountains that surround his home on Vancouver Island.

He also does oil paintings depicting the historic totem poles of the coastal First Nations, particularly the Haida people and the poles of S'Gang Gwaii (formerly known as Ninstints/Anthony Island) in Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve area.

Dave's artistic talent and abilities have been developed and nurtured through workshops, courses and the help of valued mentors since he started painting in earnest after his retirement. Dave has shown his works in several galleries and shows in Nanaimo, Parksville, Victoria and Qualicum Beach, BC.

Dave was honoured to have one of his pieces printed onto street banners for downtown Parksville, BC. light standards for the Parksville Downtown Business Association's Public Art Banners Project.

Many of Dave's works are framed in custom built deep inset frames.
